The standards

How we work together

These standards apply to everyone on the team, whatever the role. They are the agreements you confirm when you apply.

  • Professionalism and client care

How you show up, for the client and for the team.

    5 rules in this standard
    • Arrive early enough to set up before the client's time starts, and tell the team at once if you are running late.
    • Reply to messages and booking changes politely and promptly, even when the answer is that you cannot make it.
    • Dress neatly and cleanly, and wear the team uniform when asked.
    • Start every service with a conversation: ask what the client wants, agree the look, and respect their comfort, culture and occasion, including Nikkah and other traditional days.
    • Keep your attention on the client, with no personal calls or scrolling during a service.
  • Hygiene and safety

Clean tools and a clean workspace, for every client.

    5 rules in this standard
    • Wash or sanitise your hands before each client, and keep your work area clean and tidy.
    • Clean and sanitise brushes and tools between clients, and use disposable applicators wherever they are needed.
    • Never share used products or tools between clients without cleaning them first.
    • Ask about allergies and sensitive skin before you start, and respect the answer.
    • If a client has a skin condition or an infection that makes a service unsafe, stop and tell Barna before you go on.
  • Privacy and photos

What happens in the chair stays private unless the client agrees.

    4 rules in this standard
    • Keep client names, event details, venues and anything private you see or hear to yourself.
    • Take a photo of a client only with their agreement.
    • Share a photo of a client only after Barna has confirmed that the client agreed.
    • Keep client contact details inside the booking and never copy them for any other use.
  • Bookings and brand

One team, one way of booking, one voice.

    4 rules in this standard
    • Send every enquiry for Barna Beauty work through Barna Beauty, and do not take it on privately while you work with the team.
    • Quote only the prices and packages Barna confirms, and promise nothing on the team's behalf.
    • Speak kindly of clients, teammates and the team, in public and online.
    • Use the Barna Beauty name, logo and photos only in the way Barna agrees.
  • Honesty and craft

Say what you can do, then keep getting better at it.

    4 rules in this standard
    • Describe your skills and experience truthfully, and be ready to show any certificate or award you mention.
    • Say so early if you are unsure of a technique or a look, instead of trying it for the first time on a client.
    • Take feedback as part of the work, from Barna, teammates and clients.
    • Be open about your availability, and tell the team early if it changes.

After you apply

What happens next

  1. Apply below

Fill in the short form and tick each standard you agree to. It opens WhatsApp with your answers ready to send.

  2. We talk

I look at your portfolio and reply on WhatsApp. I may ask to see a certificate or a few more photos.

  3. Meet, try, agree

If it feels right on both sides, a practical session shows how we work together. Pay, schedule and terms are then agreed in writing before any work starts.

Questions

Good to know before you apply

Anything else? Message me on WhatsApp and ask before you apply.

Is this a job offer or a contract?

No. The form is an introduction. Nothing is agreed until we have talked and the terms are written down, so ticking the boxes does not create a contract or promise you a role.

Are there fixed vacancies?

This page does not advertise fixed vacancies. It is a way to introduce yourself and your work, and sending your details does not promise a role or a reply date.

What happens to the details I send?

The form writes a WhatsApp message on your own device and opens WhatsApp so you can read it and send it. Your answers are not stored on this website.

Does it cost anything to apply?

No. Applying is free, and this page never asks for payment. If anyone asks you to pay to join the Barna Beauty team, please tell me.

Do I need a certificate?

Tell me about your training and show me your work. Whatever you mention should be something you can show when asked.

Do I have to agree to every standard?

Yes. They are the same for everyone on the team, so each box needs a tick before your message can be prepared. If one of them does not work for you, message me first and ask.
